You'd heard it was coming and now it's here: no more network licenses. But no worries, these simple steps will guide you through switching from a multi-user account to your very own named user subscriptions, it's as easy as 1,2, - a, b.
Lets get started
As always, our trusty admin will need to lead the charge here.
1. Login to manage.autodesk.com and ensure your team has been added in and assigned to the correct licenses.
2. Updating your license type to 'Named User' can be done in one of 2 ways:
a) Managed by Users themselves - Users open the software and the sign-in menu, select 'Manage License'.
Then select 'Change license type'
b) You can also update all users at once with this automated tool.
This is recommended for transitioning large teams.
What's next?
The hard work is done!
From here, you will just need to ensure your team access their new software via their Autodesk ID (which should just be their email address) from now on.
TIPs:
- Remember to unassign users that no longer require the software if circumstances change to free up seats and reassign. You can check out Usage Reports to help here too.
- Ensure team keep software updated to prevent potential errors.
- As a named user, each software can be installed on up to three devices but accessed via that users single login at any given time.
