Issue
You have downloaded/installed Revit 2021 or 2022 and you are missing Australian/New Zealand Content Libraries.
Cause
This is by design. Autodesk has made the download files smaller by separating Content Libraries on their own.
Solution
You will need to download/extract the Content Libraries and then link them in the Options area of Revit.
Revit 2021
Here are the steps:
- You will need to go here to get the Content Libraries: Autodesk Revit 2021 Content | Revit Products 2021 | Autodesk Knowledge Network
- Download the - RVT2021_AUS_FamTemplatES_Templates.exe - file
- Download the - RVT2021_AUS_Libraries.exe - file
- Once the downloads finish, double-click them to start the extraction process.
- Open up Revit and go to the Options area to point to the newly downloaded files in order for Revit to pick them up Automatically (as shown below).
Revit 2022
Here are the steps:
- Content Libraries will now be found in the Autodesk Desktop App.
- Find the Revit logo on the left sidebar, scroll down until you find the appropriate Content Library you would like to install.
- Find the Revit logo on the left sidebar, scroll down until you find the appropriate Content Library you would like to install.
- Once downloaded, this will extract on its own for you and you will just need to point to the appropriate areas once again (as below).
Additional
Some Contract Managers/IT may want to create deployments which can expedite the above process (only for Revit 2022). This can be done through the Management Portal:
- Note: At the time of writing this (April 12, 2021), the Content Libraries for 2022 for Australia aren't currently available, however, New Zealand is.
If you are having errors about missing content libraries for earlier versions or having any issues with the above, please log a support ticket through our Portal and we will help you out.
