Issue
We've had several reports of users being unable to enter an activation code that they've generated upon a new install of their Autodesk Standalone product (either for Maintenance users, or users with a Multi-User Home Use License generated serial number).
Generally speaking, most users who need an activation code can request one via the Autodesk Virutal Agent Website;
However, users are then finding that the usual text input boxes to place the generated activation code appear to be missing, and they're unable to activate their product with their activation code.
Solution
The first step is to check the Autodesk Desktop App, log in with your Autodesk ID, and check that all pending licensing hotfixes and product service packs have been applied.
Once that's checked, if the problem still persists, please try the following;
- Check if there is 9.2.2.2501 folder in below path:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\AdskLicensing - If you can’t find it, please download and install via below link:
http://download.autodesk.com/us/support/files/licesning/win/adsklicensinginstaller-9.2.2.2501.zip - If already installed please check the Autodesk desktop licensing service in below path:
Start menu > Windows management tool > Service - Please check that the service is running and launch your Autodesk product.
