Autodesk Revit has stopped working
Posted by Leticia Pescador on 09 October 2017 04:27 PM

Issue:

Some users report an issue when closing any type of Revit file.

Software crashes with a message "Autodesk Revit has stopped working" and program needs to be shut down, therefore users won't be able to save any open projects that have not been saved prior the crash.

Solution:

Usually, this issue is caused by the extension called Site Designer.

  1. Extension can be uninstalled through Windows programs and features.
  2. Open Revit to test and problem should not persist.
  3. Update Revit to its latest build and re-install plug-in if required.
