Vault Professional - Revit Family Metadata Not Showing in the Vault Load Family Dialog

Tip Title:      Revit Family Metadata Not Showing in the Vault Load Family Dialog

Issue:

When using the Vault Load Family dialog in Revit, the parameters list on the left is empty. This results in not being able to filter Families using their metadata.

Solution:

In order to filter the Families by using their metadata, the Revit Indexing needs to be enabled in the ADMS Console.

1.      Download and install the Revit Plug-in for Vault Professional 2014.

2.      Open the ADMS.

3.      Select the Vault which needs the indexing enabled on, and then right-click and select Revit Indexing Service.

4.      Select Yes, enable the Revit Indexing Service.

5.      Select OK to close.

 

Vault will now start the indexing process. The time required to complete this process depends on the number of Families stored in Vault.
